Weird hill to die on. And she is wrong in her theology. This is why we don't need twice divorced females giving us sermons on what "is" and "is not" Christian.

Clearly the deep state must have scared her stupid with some threats, she seems have gotten in line pretty quick.

Shes right.

II Corinthians 4:4 "Satan, who is the god of this world"

The spiritual belief (almost all religions) is that youre a spiritual creature living in a material world. Its not yours.

If statues have no power, how come we've been busy tearing them down for the last few years?

And when the Constitution is not adhered to then what?

It amazes me people can’t see the potential slippery slope here.

There were better ways to get the statue removed

The hierarchy of victimhood and intersectionality.

The Americans that were offended by those statues are near the top of that hierarchy. Christians are at the very bottom.

Remove all graven images and we'll be better for it. No one should worship a statute.

Well, a few things.

1. People CAN see the slippery slope. They can see the slippery slope of watching Christian symbols banned and removed from the public sphere for a while now in the name of "separation of church and state," which doesn't exist the way so many think it does (it does exist, just not the way they think).

2. I agree that we want to move more in the direction of forcing equal treatment under the law rather than taking the law into our own hands, but again, what you're seeing is an expression of frustration that Christianity (or perhaps Judaism) is the only religion that anyone ever seems upset about encroaching on public life.

3. I disagree with the original tweet. From the standpoint of being an American, I understand and agree with arguing the case as a matter of constitutional compliance. As a Christian, however, I think she's just wrong. Especially invoking Babylon like she did and comparing this to those ancient idols. Did she bother to read what God commanded the Israelites to do with those idols that have no power?

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and God what is God's...

Jesus destroyed the property of other violently. Would you consider Jesus a violent thug?

Conservatives (especially MAGA) trying to claim a top spot in the victimhood hierarchy has been something to watch.

This story even gave them their own statues

This is the way and it's the only way to remove wickedness.
