She should be considering she runs their propaganda for them.

Why is she supposed to be going testify?

A former editor at NPR recently published an essay accusing the organization of leftward-leaning bias. And in fact, 87 of 87 people in editorial positions at NPR are Democrats

quote:

"The House Committee has concerns about the direction in which NPR may be headed under past and present leadership. As a taxpayer funded, public radio organization, NPR should focus on fair and objective news reporting that both considers and reflects the views of the larger U.S. population and not just a niche audience," Committee Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., wrote to NPR CEO Katherine Maher.

To me, it is incredible that a government employee can tell their employer to frick off

In a sane world, NPR would lose funding until she did what she was told. You can't take money from the taxpayers, then tell Congress to get bent.

She receives government monies so why shouldn't she have to face questions from the government?

This should be written into all funding/appropriations.

That all departmental appropriations are to be frozen if departmental witnesses refuse to appear before Congress

I do not listen to NPR or watch PBS at all. When asked why, I ask them if they have ever heard of the Rant.

Defund it permanently. We're 30 trillion in debt and we don't need it.

This is the Republicans’ bread and butter.

Bring in a known vile Democrat and conduct some meaningless tough talk for the cameras while fighting for and doing actually nothing.

And a lot of baws sitting in their recliners will see it and go frick yeah while fist pumping the air.
