I am probably the most radical, right wing, extremist on TD. But you do not want the government compelling speech, which is what Landry wants. Some may cheer this, but think real hard. Do you want some democrat governor, president or congress passing a law compelling you to use preferred pronouns or else? Or remove flags from your yard because it is offensive to some? No.

Pretty much on an answer. Which doesn’t bother me. We should’ve said was “hey dumbass, when was the last time the football team was on the field with the national anthem is played?”

Think about that for a minute….the answer is NEVER! They’re in the locker room while the Tiger Band plays on the field.

What do the baseball and softball teams do ?

Right. Both teams. But it would not be a good look if the other team is on the field.

How about: Jeff, I don't tell you how to govern the state; respectfully, don't tell me how to manage LSU athletics. Dickhead.

F*ckin clown!

He showed us over and over how he operates before being elected governor. He is vindictive, a grandstander, and panders to voters on dumbed-down issues that don't move the needle re pulling Louisiana up and out of the pit we are in. You'll find him chowing at Ruth Chris almost every day (that comes straight from his inner circle)...on whose dime? He is a wormy politician of the highest degree.

These are the best leaders we have for our state and nation while we are at it? It is hard to understand how so many people buy into the emperor's new clothes...

Well said. It's not a left v. right issue. It's the dumbed down dictator approach that makes me nervous for our state about this guy.

That’s a non-statement. Landry is out of line here and painfully ignorant.

This is a convo the Gov and Scott should have had off line and in private.

Well he sent it to all LA colleges. But yeah, it would have kept him from looking like the dumbass commie we now know that he is.

He could have made his misplaced opinion known with a private call but he chose to do it publicly at a time when the national media has already been hammering LSU. Pretty damn sad to see him pile on out of his own self interest and for his image.

Landry is crapping all over LSU. He is looking for political capital in the wrong place. He will deter a lot of great athletes away from Louisiana.

With the politically motivated policies LSU has put in place, it deserves to have some crap thrown at it. If LSU has to be a far left bastion to get athletes to show up, go somewhere else. The future of our state and country is far more important than athletes showing up at LSU.

That was no response at all. Why not actually address the facts of why LSU didn't and has not been on the floor for the anthem just like most college football teams are not on the field for the anthem?
user avatar
That’s not even a response

Also, the thing is, is that LA has a full blown living and breathing constitution. They add amendments every 2 YEARS...5 - 10 of them! The constitution is supposed to be your foundational document that states exactly WHAT that gov is ALLOWED to do, and that's about it.

But the dumbasses in LA throw everything in there from school board taxes to amendments allowing the paving of a road...IN THE FCKN CONSTITUTION! There is NO DOUBT that this lil jewel will be voted on and added to THE CONSTITUTION! (if enough brainwashed sheep vote for it)

Man. I can't remember the last time I saw something truly bipartisan where both sides of the aisle were so strongly united on a topic, but this is the one. You can not frick with LSU athletics and get away with it.
user avatar

My main issue is that if a BLM flag was thrown up there, LSU management and the athletic department would be more than happy to stand at attention to salute that bunch of Marxist jackasses. Bipartisan or anti American...you be the judge.

And Woodward should not allow LSU Athletics to be a left wing politically entity. LSU Athletics should not have a comment or action on anything political. Just play the game and keep politics out.
