Pretty much on an answer. Which doesn’t bother me. We should’ve said was “hey dumbass, when was the last time the football team was on the field with the national anthem is played?”

Think about that for a minute….the answer is NEVER! They’re in the locker room while the Tiger Band plays on the field.

What do the baseball and softball teams do ?

Right. Both teams. But it would not be a good look if the other team is on the field.

F*ckin clown!

He showed us over and over how he operates before being elected governor. He is vindictive, a grandstander, and panders to voters on dumbed-down issues that don't move the needle re pulling Louisiana up and out of the pit we are in. You'll find him chowing at Ruth Chris almost every day (that comes straight from his inner circle)...on whose dime? He is a wormy politician of the highest degree.

These are the best leaders we have for our state and nation while we are at it? It is hard to understand how so many people buy into the emperor's new clothes...

Well said. It's not a left v. right issue. It's the dumbed down dictator approach that makes me nervous for our state about this guy.

Truth is, call back 5-6 years, and most everyone would agree with Jeff Landry. This is what the extreme left wanted. Herding sheep. Don't be a sheep.

It’s because whether you want to accept it or not, LSU is just another leftist institution.

5-6 years ago the teams weren't out for the national anthem either. Landry messed up with his statement. In the end it is a non issue. Everyone just needs to move on now. The right took the bait of the left's attempt to tarnish Mulkey. Don't be a sheep? How about "don't be stupid"?
user avatar

“Don’t be a sheep”…. Hahahaha…. No where in the founding of our country was a provision for private citizens to swear, sing, honor, etc the federal government.

Who are the real sheep here?

Reminds me of when JBE threatened LSU football unless we let him raise taxes.

That’s a non-statement. Landry is out of line here and painfully ignorant.

Man. I can't remember the last time I saw something truly bipartisan where both sides of the aisle were so strongly united on a topic, but this is the one. You can not frick with LSU athletics and get away with it.
user avatar

My main issue is that if a BLM flag was thrown up there, LSU management and the athletic department would be more than happy to stand at attention to salute that bunch of Marxist jackasses. Bipartisan or anti American...you be the judge.

Yeah, expecting state and federally funded organizations to show some sense of respect and decorum for the national anthem and the service men and women (of all kinds) it represents is completely absurd. The leftest wackos in our society and within this thread, always has a hand out, but zero appreciation or sense of obligation associated with it.

Go drink some red koolaid.

Go drink the libtard government provided koolaid due to your inability to think or provide for yourself. They have you exactly where they want you, but you are too stupid to know it.

Everyone around me is saying he's showing this tough demeanor and being tough on crime because he wants to run for president. I could see it. Then we'd all be screwed. He should be recalled for what he's attempting to do with our jails. They'll be crazy overcrowded if he succeeds.
user avatar

Great he’s tough on crime!! Crooks belong behind bears WORKING for their food. Not sitting on their butt getting free everything. I would think that you’d have a different outlook if you were a victim instead of a friend or family.

I would say no way he would win a presidential race, but America did vote for an absolute moron for President in 2016 and in 2020, so I put nothing past this country.

He could have made his misplaced opinion known with a private call but he chose to do it publicly at a time when the national media has already been hammering LSU. Pretty damn sad to see him pile on out of his own self interest and for his image.

That was no response at all. Why not actually address the facts of why LSU didn't and has not been on the floor for the anthem just like most college football teams are not on the field for the anthem?
