When La Parvenu in Rivertown was at it peak I could have seen them getting one. Dennis got burned out I think. I miss that place. That being said, La Petite Grocery, Peche, or I think someone said Compare Lapin. I could see any of those.

LPG is a good restaurant. It’s not anywhere close to Michelin star quality.

That mirliton bisque!

I made it once. It was so good, but not as good as the restaurant's.

I used to love La Parvenu. At its peak I think it was the best restaurant in the history of Kenner. I don’t know about a Michelin star though.

I think La Petite Grocery would be in contention for one star.

Their crab beignets alone are worthy of a star.

Nah, that’s not how it works. If you just look at what is within a block or so, Shaya and Saffron are both superior to LPG.

Never really cared if Michelin came or not. But after this thread I hope they show up and hand out stars to somewhere like The Franklin just to see some people lose their shite.

I think Chemin thinks of itself as such but both times I’ve been there I didn’t consider it Star level.

Chemin is garbage. Overpriced, uncreative food, and god awful service. Been to it twice and Miss River twice, MR blew it out the water each time.

It's also the slowest restaurant I've ever been to. Went one time for a late lunch (3 of us total) and I swear we were in there for 3 hours. Only 2 other tables in the place. I know it's not anomalous either because on a subsequent trip to Miss River, a group was waiting by the valet and bitching at how they were at Chemin for hours.

In regards to OP, I could see NOLA having a handful of 1s, but no way would any place down here sniff 2 or 3 (currently)

Been hearing increasing chatter that this is definitely happening, that Michelin is coming.

Anyone actually in the industry hearing anything?

Yes. They got mugged outside of Bisutoro waiting for their Uber.

I just cannot see any New Orleans restaurant being worthy of this in 2023.

“Your Dooky Chases, Moscas types are ripe for gourmand accolades”

Is this city ever going to admit Mosca’s is a fun novelty play with a group of friends who want to just have a good time and that nothing on that menu is worth the drive if it were a solo mission?

A Michelen ??? Come on…
