Already has happened. You would know this if you are a white male that has had to deal with the bursar or registrar.
What does this mean?

I have "friends" like this unfortunately. They can be nice people but are totally indoctrinated. So yes, you can be both. You can get your job done and be a prog POS while doing it.

Well that's the crux

If unnamed sources says he's going for a big hitting grant winner then he will need to find the unicorn candidate that checks off diversity and institutional effectiveness boxes. Not saying there aren't any out there but they are still rather rare.

i think he means people at LSU and Southern are now hired based on the color of their skin, not the content of their character.... or qualifications. And it shows.

That has nothing to do with "being a white male amd dealing with" them.

OT Friends--I have been as critical as anyone of the racialized direction that LSU has taken, and Stacia Haynie has been complicit in taking the university in that direction. The "anti-racism" position taken by the previous LSU administration has meant the introduction of policies that cannot be described as anything but racially discriminatory, and Haynie has fully embraced those policies. The new president has a record relating to critical race theory, so there is reason to be concerned.

But I must say that race likely did not have anything to do with the removal of Haynie from her position. Tate has made it clear that he wants to prioritize research and graduate programs, and these are not Haynie's strengths. Haynie also has quite a bit of opposition from the faculty--she is viewed as autocratic and unwilling to accept faculty input on a variety of policies. The discriminatory hiring policies that came down from the administration with her support were not vetted by the faculty and were instead imposed without any faculty input. Even some liberal faculty on LSU's campus are troubled by these discriminatory policies.

Bottom line: Haynie is not a victim of a racial coup.

I don’t know enough about her to give a thorough assessment of her performance in that job. However, she was number two on campus for the past year and a half during the Covid response. I have a kid at LSU and I will say that the whole thing has been fricked from the beginning. Inconsistent policies and being 10 steps behind other schools. And there has been absolutely zero interest expressed in students actually getting an education during this time. Professors and instructors were basically allowed to make their own rules and academic counseling was pretty much non-existent. I will lay responsibility for that at her feet. And for that alone she doesn’t need to keep her job.
