The Hogs are up there it seems like every year, but they falter in the NCAA tourney.

We'll see what happens to them this year.

We always seem to be wildly inconsistent the last 10 or so years while we have seasons in where we finish first in the SEC or 7th.

Yes, we have the rings, and I wouldn’t change that for shite! But I would take more consistency. Hopefully with Johnson we get that.

You think LSU is widely inconsistent comparatively with Arkansas?

Not sure about SEC records but overall both have been equally consistent, the diffence being LSU having hardware and a better winning percentage.

He said Arkansas is consistently elite. Right now they have zero, that doesn’t equate to elite status. If they start stringing several together then yeah I guess they’ll reach elite status.

Money and the name DVH...

And I'm glad they maintain a standard of excellence in their college baseball progrum. Holds our own progrum accountable as an SEC West opp...

Totally agree. Great program. Consistently doesn’t win in Omaha

You forgot to add, early on in the season. To both points.

Reality and perception are two entirely different things.

More real data:

# of CWS appearances: LSU 19, Ark 11
% of wins in CWS games: LSU .529, Ark .429
CWS championships: LSU 7, Ark 0

Arkansas is almost always good in baseball, but unlike LSU, they are not "elite".

everyone wants what Alabama had in football the last 15 years, championships and consistency. This team int not out of it yet plenty of games left to improve. Last years team was special and we lost a lot of very good baseball players

I’m not asking us to be what Alabama has been in football. I would like to have not such a drop off from one year to the next.

I think Johnson is going to get us to be more consistent, at least I hope he will.

They kinda need to win one before they can be called elite. I don’t even consider State elite and they’ve won one.

Elite is the wrong word for Arkansas Baseball.

Arkie is consistently a top 4 SEC contender under DVH. They are one of the top programs in the SEC now and have been for several years.

Consistently elite is great. I applaud Arkansas and Van Horn for the program they have, all the respect in the world to them but LSU has 7 National Championships

Yeah they are the Cowboys of college baseball.

As a Cowboys fan, I can't help but agreeing with this statement. Although, we did win some Super Bowls in the past - the waaaay past, but we did.
