Sister, there a legit reason some of us are starting to see some similarities with 2019. You don’t have to appear like a jackass to acknowledge that.

Name 1 similarity.

There’s a reason 2019 is arguably the greatest team to ever walk on a field. It’s because what they did is extremely difficult to do.

Meaning it’s not something that just gets replicated a few years later at the same school somehow.

Preseason 2023 absolutely has similarities to preseason 2019. How is the season gonna go? Nowhere did the OP predict this team will be equal to the 2019 team.

Why do this to yourself?

This could be the second best offense in school history and still not be in the same universe as 2019.

All this does is set yourself up to be disappointed

You sound just like all of our POS lying politicians. I simply noted that there are starting to be similarities with 2019’s offense.

Our quarterback is not even close to 2019 and it’s likely that none of our receivers are as good as Chase or Jefferson. These comparisons are so stupid.

Could one of you name a single similarity or will y’all just keep parroting this vague nonsense?

2019 had a football team and they had guys who played football.

2023 has a football team with guys who play football.

My God, they are a mirror image. How can you not see it

Name one similarity between this years team and 2019 specifically

The return of a majority that will be 2nd year starters for LSU. That gel could be enough to catapult LSU to win the SECCG.

^^^ A reach for sure but a similarity nonetheless.

I don’t need your approval for some of the similarities some of us see. A QB dominating a practice who can both run or pass, receivers and a TE who all have shown the ability to dominate a practice.

It is starting to appear similar to a degree. Some of us don’t need your approval to know what we are seeing.

people on this board were comparing Joe Burrow to Danny Etling after 2018.

I didn’t say you did.

In any event, I agree with the others, you’ll be hard pressed to find another Burrow, Chase, Jefferson…… heck we didn’t know what LSU had that year.

Expecting another QB, any QB, to be “the next Burrow” is more than likely setting yourself up for disappointment. Not saying it isn’t possible but it’s more than likely improbable.

But go ahead and start another post about some other article you read and give your “expert TTT analysis” on it.

I mean a similarity specific to 2019. We’ve had plenty of years with a lot of 2nd year starters.

I don't think any real specific similarity can be made honestly. The entire team is different from staff to players. However the second year jump is what had me excited for 2019 & it didn't disappoint.

Here's to CBK/coaching + a second year jump. That's all I have & that's what my biggest hope for this season.

For the record I would not & have not compared any LSU team to 2019 in my opinion it's insulting to do so.

I like that they are all LA guys.
Louisiana produces the most underrated talent in the country just look at the NFL. Id take a 3 star LA kid over most 4 and some 5 star kids from other states. Especially on the perimeter, LB and Rb areas. Need to search the country for the lineman most years.
