Well, that's the team that all future teams will be compared to. That's the high water mark. Is it a bad thing to have set the bar so high? I don't think so.

2019 LSU is undisputably a top 3 team of all time, arguably the greatest ever. In the sport's history. I suppose it isn't impossible, but I'd bet a lot of money that we will never see another LSU offense like that as long as we live

Exactly.

I don’t need your approval for the some of the similarities some of us see. A QB dominating a practice who can both run or pass, receivers and a TE who all have shown the ability to dominate a practice.

It is starting to appear similar to a degree. Some of us don’t need your approval to know what we are seeing.

This is so fricking stupid it doesn't warrant a response.

Yet here I am, responding.

The WRs will be really really good this year IMO, but slow the roll on comparing it to 2019.

The level of stupidity in this statement is truly baffling. I hope you're just joking OP. Otherwise that means that there are human beings this retardedly stupid walking the earth with job responsibilities.

Other than the fact that we have wide receivers now, and the 2019 team also had wide receivers, there's no fricking similarity. We haven't played a single snap.

Sure, feel free to enlighten us on the similarities then.

The offseason going into 19’ has a lot of similarities as this offseason going into this season.

I don’t think Denbrock is the guy to completely unlock the offense into a cheat code but there should be a marked improvement or people should be fired

This is going to be a great WR groups especially when BTJ is 100% but they'll never touch 2019's offense

And they don't need to be as good as 2019!

You don’t like Denbrock, Les? I thought he did a good job last year with a bunch of 1st time starters all across the offense

The highs were good and had a modern feel but felt he was a bit too conservative at times. Like when coaches used to lean on the defense and play in that reactionary, grind-it-out manner. Rather than always trying to control the tone.

In theory & on paper, another year together with all the continuity they have on offense should be one of the best offenses lsu has ever had.

This is what's called a buried lead! He is back to pre-injury speed.

Arkansas game was bad but aside from that I thought he had a good year as OC

Agreed this year the offense should rank top 25 without a doubt

Clyde was better by himself than all 8 of our current RBs and that’s no slight to those 8 guys just facts

Clyde 2018 146 car 658 yards 4.51 ypc 7 TD, 11 catches 96 yards

LSU 2022
Josh Williams 98 car 536 yards 5.47 ypc 6 TD, 21 catches 132 yards
Noah Cain 75 car 405 yards 5.40 ypc 10 TD, 9 catches 76 yards
John Emery 76 car 375 yards 4.93 ypc 6 TD, 13 catches 129 yards 2 TD
Armoni Goodwin 45 car 267 yards 5.93 ypc 5 TD

Transfer Diggs 165 car 822 yards 4.98 ypc 4 TD, 10 catches 211 yards 2 TD

You could say all those guys were better than CEH was in 2018.

We can't use 2019 as the starting point in discussions of any of our players. Nobody expected any of them to blow up like the did in 2019. And while I don't expect 2019 level offense, I do expect dramatic improvement from all.

Clyde wasn’t the starter in 2018 bro he was 2nd string behind brossette, awful take

None of the RBs last year showed me anything to believe they are elite or can be elite
