Cincinnati would obviously be the best for the game by a long (long) shot, but Michigan winning would also be good.

I'm pulling for Cincy for no other reason that the Bearcats winning would be a huge bitch slap to all those arrogant Buckeye fans. Imagine all the shite Buckeye fans would have to eat all off season.Much like what UAB's winning would do to bama fans, here in La. Tulane winning.

the fact that they’re in the CFP while the Buckeyes are playing in the “who gives a shite” bowl is a slap in the face.

Why, because Burrow beat Alabama once? It's not like he's still playing Alabama each year

Did you actually read the title? It’s says college football. Not the NFL. He’s clearly talking about the University of Cincinnati not the Bengals.

If Cincy wins they'd come out with a 16 team playoff the next day to "give more teams a chance". So is that best for cfb? Depends on who you ask.

Joe Biden & dr. Faucci Would shut it down

Very true

Although I feel like they’d want Cincinnati to win
Or maybe Michigan

i would rather see Alabama-Michigan

Alabama-Georgia is a little redundant to me. I mean I'll watch obviously but just saying...

having said that, I wouldn't mind if Cincinnati pulled the upset Friday. I don't think they will even if Alabama doesn't play its best game.

but just say they did, I couldn't see them topping Michigan or Georgia the following week

Cincy is best because it fosters hope for more teams
Michigan is good because it establishes the other dominant conference

Ohio State fans and LSU fans have quite a bit in common in this arena. Tons of Ohio State fans hate that Cincy is in the playoffs because it gives the national spotlight to another Ohio program that isn't them.

Tons of LSU fans are the same way. Just like Ohio State, the only P5 program in a state rich with football talent. Ohio State competes with no other P5 in-state schools, while Michigan has Michigan State, Purdue has Indiana and Notre Dame, Penn State has Pitt, etc.

Alabama has Auburn, Ole Miss has Miss State, Florida has FSU AND Miami, etc.

Just like many LSU fans I know who hate it when Tulane, LA Tech or Cajuns start doing well enough to generate actual attention, Ohio State fans (and I know a few) hate that Cincy is getting all this attention. Somehow large portions of these fanbases must view this as some sort of threat to their unlimited access to whatever they want within their state's borders (even though reality is it's really not).

Pretty much all their conference peers have to contend with in-state P5 competition, but LSU and Ohio State don't, and it becomes obvious on this board how much they cherish that advantage over their Big 10/SEC conference mates.
