LINK

This is proposed trade between the Pels and Magic.

I personally love this trade for the Pelicans, I would be ecstatic if this trade was to come about.

We get Suggs who I love, we get Johathan Issac who is athletic big, that can run, rebound, and his age fits our timeline, also Mo Wagner can give you some good minutes off the bench, plus the two draft picks.

I would do this trade in a heartbeat

I couldn’t get the fax machine cranked up fast enough. No way Orlando is that dumb. I’m sure they’ve watched Ingram play.

A plus of being off national broadcasts so often is they can’t see the flaws in guys we want to move.

Teddy must work for that publication because he suggested that exact ludicrous trade several days ago.

Was just perusing Twitter and saw that.

What I will say is our fanbase collectively values BI lower than every other fanbase.

Seeing that link and other random Cavs/76ers/Magic/Hawks fans on Twitter posting either trades we would love or just general excitement about possibly adding BI just gives a little perspective on how Pels fans value him vs how folks from other fanbases value him.

Isaac is an expiring deal, and has played 200 games in 7 seasons. Aka, less than 30 games a year.

Suggs is going into his contract year. He is for sure very interesting after having a great season. Very very very good defender, and shot well this year. Just a bit worrisome what we would look like with him as lead guard.

Because the Denver pick has protections, I do not believe the Magic can trade 2025 and 2026 picks. And with getting Ingram, we are talking almost surely non lottery picks in the East.

For sure this is about the best the Magic could offer. But Ingram has been our best player over the past five seasons. Sometimes I wonder more about if our posters have been watching the games. Because of the impending Ingram contract, this is ok. But surely a step backwards.

Tell me in which NBA system that he works in besides getting into a Time Machine and going back to the 90s?

I don't see Suggs and Issac as some kind of shocking package. The firsts are cool but you can bet your arse it's going to be lottery protected. Issac is injury prone and Suggs had a good year. Both guys are role players right now and still have a lot to prove while being up for new contracts.

It's probably more even than people want tp admit.

Pels fans see BI as a bad #1 or #1b, which he is. He will not be put in that role by other teams. Other teams are looking at him and see a relatively efficient 3 level scorer with some playmaking skills and the potential to be a good enough defender and rebounder. They don't need him to be their guy, they need him to take pressure off their guy.

Not our problem, that's for the team that gets him

I was never a big BI fan. But he’s not as bad as everyone on here keeps saying. I think he could be alot better with a really good pg. I just think there is no way we can pay what he wants on his next contract.

Yea, I'm not sure this deal is as outlandish as some think.

Think about all the other potential dudes we've discussed... Garland/Allen/Trae/Murray

Those are all dudes...the Magic players are all role players.

Suggs/Wagner/Isaac are nowhere near their level of value, so it would take in the neighborhood of that offer.

Ingram has never been our best player in any year that Zion played

I most certainly did not

I don’t want anything from Orlando but Isaac and some salary space.
I’d tell Orlando you need to go use Suggs and picks to go get someone we want.
What is Suggs and his 2 assists a game supposed to do here? He’s a bench player over here. I’m not trading BI for 3 bench players and 2 non lottery picks. It seems like a lot, but it’s a lot of meh.
