but there's zero doubt that we'd be better with Trae instead of BI.

Zero? Naw dog.

This isn't some Pel homer thing. Even guys like Simmons have BI ahead of Trae (on his trade value chart).

You just don't want the obvious holes in your argument to be pointed out.

Nothing I posted ITT was about trading Zion, so there is no "hole" by pointing out Zion trade scenarios.

And if you weren't talking about trading Zion, then your comment is even more off topic.

We're worried bout Trae the team killer, meanwhile we had to go away form Borrego ball and completely abandon the system we went through camp and preseason running because...BI didn't like it.

Now BI is checked out while the playoffs are going on, but Trae is a team killer!!!

Trae and BI have the same problems in this area

BI is a lot better on D

BI is also liked by his teammates. Trae...is not.

How is Trae doing in the playoffs in a decidedly weaker conference?

He's definitely not at the top of my list, but he also would definitely make this team better than BI does, so he should be on the list of dudes we're looking into this offseason for BI.

This. I’ve been an advocate for Trae coming here for a while. I don’t care how bad his D is. We need playmaking and shot making from a true point guard. I love CJ but he just ain’t it next to Zion. Same with BI.

Defense doesn’t win championships in today’s NBA. Great offense and timely defense does.

I’d also prefer Murray, but at this point if we could get Trae for BI, I’d roll the dice and take the chance instead of running it ba k for the tenth time.A starting lineup of Trey, Herb, TM, Zion and a good defensive center might work. Maybe bring CJ off the bench as a 6th man. Something has to change.

Fans will want to see something changed on this team and Trae is a box office name like it or not.

Makes it difficult but I have to think if you trade BI for Trae, then CJ has to go too.

Our defense, in the regular season at least, was good enough to withstand CJ not being good on that side, but even as a 6th man, there would be overlap with Trae, and I'm not sure we can overcome that, even with a good anchor at the 5 holding it down.

But I agree overall, Trae may not be the first choice, but if he's the best choice, you make the deal because the day after you trade BI for Trae, you are a better team.
