go with what the doctor tells you.... Oh wait they have differing views on treatment just like with anything else, but not covid. you have to be absolutely lock step with the democratic party on covid.
But seriously, my dad got the laser surgery with the robot from a doctor at touro and hes been cancer free for over a year now. I d go with the surgery, you can always do radiation later.

Before I would do anything I would read book: HOW WE DO HARM by Otis Brawley,MD.
He was chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society He is now a a professor at Johns Hopkins University. School of Medicine.
His premise is that many men would be just as well served by active surveillance rather than treatment.

I have the surgery option or hifu. I’m not doing radiation. I’m meeting with hifu Dr in a few weeks.

I had surgery at first detection due to family history.
My dad waited too long to have surgery and the cancer had already spread outside his prostate.

Dont have it, dont want it.
Do have a guy a work that probably wont make it with colon cancer.
If they let you do both while your still strong, id do both. Not a doctor, but Id go hard at hard first after this guy at work try and fight. I think he's done the chemo/radiation thing 4 times now.

Which one works better to get rid of cancer and make it not come back and kill you? That's what I would do.
There is little difference in survivablity between radiation and surgery which is why the Drs give the patient the option to decide what is best for them based of potential side effects.

Going through this myself right now. The treatment I'm having includes "radiation seeds" implanted in the prostate followed but 4 to 8 weeks of radiation beam treatment. I've had the seeds implanted and start the radiation beam treatment in about 10 days. So far no issues but I've just started. This was the best option for me but everyone has to make their own evaluation. good luck to you!
