There is a period (.) after earth in verse one. Some accountings pluralize heaven. We have no idea the time elapsed between verses one and two nor do we know why the earth was void, without mass, covered in darkness.

I don't discount it. Anatomically correct is fair game but that doesn't necessarily translate into 'mankind as we know it'. I don't discount rudimentary forms of human beings.

Dinosaur bones that are said to be millions of years old often have soft tissue on the bone. There is no known way to preserve tissue anywhere near that time in a laboratory environment. Yet they find soft tissue on a dinosaur bone buried in the dirt exposed to weather and everything else. So the millions of years bs is just bs. They don't talk about it because they can't explain it.

After God created the heavens and the earth(the earth was without form-(not sure what this means exactly)
Without form, or formless, could mean without continents. It has been posited that there were no large land masses when the earth was formed.
Makes sense if you consider the whole verse "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."
Dry ground didn't appear until verse 9. Pretty amazing that the Bible has had this right the whole time, and scientists just figured it out.
Limited Archaean continental emergence reflected in an early Archaean 18O-enriched ocean

quote:They don't talk about it? It is a very active area of study! What exactly do you want them to say at this time? Is it absurd to you that scientists tend to gather evidence and study things for a long time before talking about possible answers?
They don't have an answer for it. They don't talk about it.

Kind of crazy that people can still believe in bronze age fairy tales while living in an advanced society

quote:Why is this perfect pinnacle so sloppy?
Mankind is the pinnacle of God's work and was created and placed in perfection
Why are humans prone to back and knee problems?
Why does cancer exist? Birth defects? Genetic diseases? Vestigial organs and structures?
Why did it take so many tries to get it "right", and we're still all fricked up?

Do they talk about how proteins are persevered for millions of years?

In some of the oldest texts of Genesis it says God replenished the earth, not created the earth.
To replenish means something was here before.
To replenish means something was here before.

You're linking youtube videos while he's linking peer reviewed articles

quote:Human population around the time of "the flood" was in the millions, not 8.
That said, the human population growth after the great flood can be easily proved. Just google human population growth and look for yourself.

Most won't, they will only ridicule.
quote:Are you referring to rational, logical people as "deniers"?
Deniers can just post a few graphs to show us wrong.

Those items/maladies you describe are the result of mankind's fall, at least for those of us who accept the Bible's accounting.
We are the pinnacle of God's creation, His Son died for us and mankind was in perfection as God and Adam/Eve communed - nothing separated them...they were in a state/condition of innocence and learned of good and evil.

Look, I know I can't change your mind. You think you've got it all figured out, and the things you haven't got figured out you think you aren't supposed to have figured out. And you are happy as can be in that state of blissful ignorance.
Thankfully, though, there are enough of us who know that we haven't got it all figured out, and who continue to search for answers. We've already got a lot of them, if you decide to open your mind.

I know we all wanna jump on the bandwagon to bash this guy, but it’s just as incomprehensible, to me at least, that the earth is 4 billion years old
