People never run out of gas is what a lot of this board believes

In 35 years of driving I’ve never run out of gas, and that includes driving a car for several years that had a bad gas gauge.

….how you figure? Gas station availability?
I'll go with that, AND the fact that you can do a complete refill from empty in a couple of minutes.

You can be practically empty to start your trip, stop at the nearest gas station to fill up, drive to the limit of your range, spend another 5 minutes refueling, and be on your way again.
You can NOT do that with an EV.

gas vehicles never break down or require a tow truck.

no but that’s just another variable. you also can’t wake up with a full tank of gas every morning with passive activity.

convenient charging is the only valid issue here

That might not be the case if gas stations were as rare as charging stations.

Does that suddenly make you incapable of doing math?

I really don't get why suddenly this is an issue where everyone loses track of how far they can drive because the fuel source changes.

Do you honestly think having a family member bring you a bit of gas or walking nearby to get some isn’t much preferable to calling a tow truck and all the price and hassle of dealing with that

Check your insurance, you are already paying for it.

Hell, your credit card may have free roadside assistance these days.

Why ICE isn't going away soon, petroleum-based fuel is the undisputed champion of safe, reliable, easily transported energy density. There's nothing going for EV's on the technological horizon that will displace gasoline and diesel.

Toyota is investing heavily in fuel cell technology.

It’s simple math that dictates if there’s less fueling stations there will be more instances of running out of fuel or power, overall. You’re or my ability to stay on top of that doesn’t change its efficacy.

For that to be true we’d have to already be seeing a ton of stranded EVs. And we’re not.

So an ICE car with less range or mileage is more likely to run out of gas?

That is an interesting take.

Curious how many times have you run out of gas?

Part of the problem with ev’s is they have no way of putting the fires out. There’s a few fire foam companies out there that are about to make billions.

It’s a mathematical certainty.

Zero.

Break it down for me? If less an availability means more stranded vehicles, we would see EVs stranded regularly. But we’re not. Not even rental fleets are having that issue and those are the biggest dip shite users on the face of the earth.

Apparently a bunch of tards here are big worried about it and keep gas cans around just in case their tisms flare up and they end up stranded.
