It was estimated to be 60,000 feet altitude. That's over 11 miles up.
And it really doesn't matter if it was a spy balloon or weather balloon or something else. There should be zero tolerance for unauthorized intrusion into U.S. airspace.

Because this administration will do absolutely nothing about it. This thing literally flew over the top of nuclear warhead sites in Montana and numerous military bases across Midwest and to the East. Now we decide to shoot it down after it’s run its course.

Montana has a population of less than 7 people per square mile, while Wyoming has less than 6. You’re acting like this thing was flying over NYC the whole time. Hell the could’ve shot it down over Alaska, but can’t have it landing on people there, right?

Even worse than that, all of the "shoot it down" folks haven't even thought about the possibility that it could be a biological weapon! Probably not, but it further shows the lack of thought process when people are politically blinded. They have satellites that can practically read the text on the head of a bolt... The powers don't care because it's not a surveillance issue.

fricking TikTok probably gathers more info in an hour on Americans then this balloon did during its entire trip. Another one was spotted over South America meaning China just randomly sent these things everywhere it’s not some James Bond level spy tech
