Not included is any type of financial compensation to descendants of Black slaves, a polarizing proposal that has received a cool response from many state Democrats, including Gov. Gavin Newsom.
What a load of shite. Just more typical Democrat virtue signaling bullcrap.
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad no money is being offered, but that was a worthless exercise and a complete waste of whatever time and resources were devoted to it.

The only Japanese that got reparations from the State of California were those who were actually sent to the internment camps, not their ancestors. Actual payout was $20,000 in 1980s dollars.

I seem to remember something similar to this plan took place in Russia at the end of WW 1 after the Czar and his family were assassinated.
Look how that turned out.

Let's wait until the dollar becomes worthless and then pay reparations.

I need to find a way to get France to cut me a fat check.
they kicked my ancestors out. so my people were forced to relocate to the Louisiana territory.
as a result, I was forced to live in a Hurricane prone swamp that floods.
and somehow, someway that led to generations of fat people with diabetes and heart conditions.
am I doing this right?

California wasn't a slave state. Totally ignorant.
My gut tells me that’s their insurance policy on this stuff. Make a big to-do about taking care of descendants of slaves, but you have to prove forefathers were a slave somewhere in Cali.

Ok all the slave decended black/whites need to head to Calif. to collect your checks.
But please stay in Calif. and spend it cause more may be declared soon.

Lol mines fought in the civil war and every war America has fought. what's your point?
Maybe White people need reparartions for all of the EBT Cards we have to keep filled and prisons we had to build. Not to mention the emotional costs of loved ones lost to violent crime, robberies, and car jackings.
