Thus bypassing Mike's ability to block it from a vote. He paused and said he would do what he could to fight it.

Anyone know about this process?

Oh, the "I tied to fight it" routine.

They do everything they can to make all that as impossible to follow as Chinese algebra.

Well Republicans have a majority on committees, should be able to kill it there.

Except that too many Republicans love this bill.

If the bill got to a floor vote in the House I think it would pass.

It could probably pass in any committee or sub-committee, but I am not as sure about that.

Pardon my skepticism of "Republicans" having a majority.

Unless Johnson really does have them in lockstep of which I am also skeptical, then it's almost guaranteed that a couple of them will deliberately frick the whole thing up.

The GOPe is naught but the controlled opposition wing of the Establishment Uniparty.

It’s funny that you believe the Democrats won’t remove the ability to filibuster

They never intended to pass this bill. You are falling for the theater.

We will see some adjustments and the good guys will brag about how much better the new turd is and how they stood up to McConnell and Schumer.

The new one will give them 70 % of what the current turd does which is all they wanted anyway.

Haven't you seen this movie like 10x before?

You think McConnell and Schumer are stupid? They knew exactly how this bill would be received and have the whole road map to eventual passage laid out .

They won’t. No chance they deploy that bullet on this legislation.

he needs to not let it come to a vote - just like Schumer did with their HR2

if it comes to the floor, there would probably be a turncoat or two which is all it would take to approve it.

Gotta get rid of the GopE's and elect more real conservatives.

Schumer isn’t.

Jury’s out on the turtle. Possibly a little too much Bolivian marching powder when he approved this.
