NY courts have messed up names. I believe the lowest level court there has the name “NY Supreme Court”.

Trump already has this judge’s comment on his social media. This judge is a fricking idiot who gifted him a victory even if he loses in court.

They are going to throw him in jail. They won’t face any consequences for it.

Except Trump will gain support.

If any other person were mouthing off like Trump from the stand, they’d already be in the slammer. That’s a certainty.

If it wasn’t Trump, there wouldn’t even be a fricking trial because the charges are a joke.

This is a civil suit. Slammer will not be a option on any issue. Try again chief.

Seems to be yet another example of where saying less would probably help his case.

Sounds like the Judge is pissed because he’s being emasculated in his own courtroom.

Thinking Trump is running that courtroom and not the judge, definitely not a legal scholar

He is taking about criminal contempt of court.

This happened in February 2022. They sent a letter to Trump Org to inform them and stated that any recipients of the statements of financial condition should not rely on them.

So we already know that there is an issue. Because this doesn’t happen very often. One of the primary reasons for this rare action to be taken would be if fraud is suspected.

You are right this does not happen, when an accounting firm gets paid for services, submits financials and then says they arent worth a shat. Ya think maybe just maybe they got a little visit from the feds to change their mind??????????

How friggin stupid are you?

I know what he is talking about. Criminal contempt of court is not a option in a civil suit. The judge can refuse to let him testify and even kick him out of the court room but he cannot put him in the "slammer".

It is, but if the court finds against Trump this time I would bet that more criminal charges will be forthcoming (specifically, fraud), and with a prior court finding against him the criminal case will be likely to succeed.

First of all they did not bring a criminal charge because they knew they would lose. Second Trump will appeal and the lawsuit will go poof like a fart in the wind.

The Judge would be the one to have to grant the Mistrial Motion based on his own conduct

So based upon how this circus of a trial has played out so far, even if Trump was found guilty, I think he would be able to win an appeal just on how this trial was conducted alone and behavior of the prosecutor and judge.
