had no idea they got kicked from LC. will the team ever play in the cajun dome or is that their permanent site?

i know it's not the "new orleans voodoo", but i do want this team and league to succeed.

At this point, if they keep playing anywhere it will be a huge win

It's probsbly the stupidest game ever invented. I won't even call it a sport.

KLFY reporting that next game is canceled and will not be played. The team's future is in doubt. Lake Charles mayor chimes in calling the situation a "bullet dodged"

ESPN made it a big deal
ESPN is pretty much the one who killed it

NBC is what made it have the marginal success that it did have in the mid 2000s

They are missing out an amazing opportunity here.

Change the name from Voo-Doo (which has nothing to do with lafayette) to Poo-Poo and put a picture of Poo-Poo Broussard on the helmets.

Who wouldn’t want to go see the Lafayette Poo-Poo at Blackham???

That Soul team fired its entire roster and rounded up some scrubs for the game.

I'm gonna guess "a few teams who are doing ok" does not make for a sustainable professional sports league long term.

How old is that building? My Dad talked about attending events there in the late 50s-early 60s.

I attended many USL basketball games in that building back in their good old days. That place would literally rock. It would get so loud that the seats would vibrate. Back then, the floor was covered with dyed green rice hulls. It was actually a rodeo arena. I don't think it even had AC until the late 70's. Summer events were hell. Winter events, sitting in the high seats, you'd keep your coat on.

Yeh, it is a dump compared to today's arenas but back in the day it was classic.
