1 more week left of The Mullet. It was the first program I ever did about a year and a half ago and I remember thinking it was on the easier side. Well idk if I’m just getting older or maybe I wasn’t pushing hard enough back then because it’s much more challenging than I remember. It’s like the little brother of stacked, jacked, and turning heads. 3 big compound lifts per day including legs every day followed by 2 to 3 high rep auxiliary super sets. All workout about an hour and 15-20 min. I’m loving it though. Heading to Cabo in 3 weeks so trying to really push

Not sure what I’m going to do to fill that 2 week gap before the trip. Maybe FOTH

Mullet round 2 in the books. Feel a lot stronger on deads. First time I’ve done 340 for 3 reps. Great program if you like legs and deads. Lots of bicep work as well. Arms are looking huge

Going to run Pool Season 1 in these last 2 weeks before Cabo. I like how it emphasizes shoulders

I'm thinking about running stacked, jacked, and turning heads after I finish up benchuary this week. I had to run week 2 over again as I missed a couple of days traveling.

Good to know that it's similar to The Mullet, I've run that a couple of times and am a fan.

I feel like I'm having an impossible time trying to decide which programs to run haha I have about 3 months before a big summer trip and I can't decide between big back billy, pool season 2, elbow meat, or stacked, jacked.

Stacked and Jacked is the only one I started and didn’t finish. Great program for bulking and strength as it emphasizes heavy compound lifts but the workouts are loooooong. I’m talking 2 hours some days. I work 12 hour shifts so I was having just barely enough time to eat and go straight to bed most days/nights.

Loved big back billy, gotta like deads though as they’re every day. Left the gym dripping every day for that one.

Pool season 2 is good, I recall it having some HEAVY deadlift days and it adds more legs than pool season 1 had (wall sits and lunges for cardio some days) but it’s more repetitive than pool season 1 as in each week is the same layout

Never done elbow meat

S&J is the hardest of all the ppsa programs.

Appreciate the info!

Elbow meat is a pretty long one too, think I was in the gym for about 1.5 hours pretty regularly and it's 5 days a week. I made some good gains with that, the grip work translates well to pretty much everything.

I know I'm a Canes fan but I come in peace, found this thread while trying to find somewhere to talk about ppsa workouts. LSU777's posts about greyskull were also a great resource!

Started Periodic Table of Thickness, done 2 days worth. Both days I’m at 1hr10-15 minutes through main parts and had to skip “cardio” for timing…. Need to shift workout times to allow for the cardio portion

Cheers

Started Arm Farm again today for the millionth time.

This is my favorite program by a long shot. I now have an updated and accurate bench max so it will be even better for me.

Are there any PPSA programs that incorporate abs? Haven’t really seen any mentioned on the board.

Side not: Starting strongville monday (tomorrow)

I don’t think any have ab specific training in them but all his programs will work your abs.

I saw a post of his recently where he had his son pictured and said he didn’t do any ab focused work but kid was ripped.

Cheers

no

if you want to do some, just do a couple sets of hanging straight leg lifts

I typically throw on a 5 min peloton core workout video at the end of my lift.

There are a couple of plans that have planks in the warmup, but that's about it. I can feel the muscles under there.

I do these from time to time. But I will do ab rollouts more frequently because this has been the only ever programmed ab exercise in any of the programs I have done.

I swapped triceps pushups instead of EZ bar skull crushers for cardio today because I am missing them from Benchuary

for most people the only two exercises i recommend for abs are leg lifts and roll outs. most people just cant do roll outs, even with regressed

When I first did deadcember, I couldn't do more than 3 roll outs, but over time I got pretty good at them. I even bout a roller for my house to do from time to time.
