Stumbled upon this old gem on prime video today. This movie got crapped on pretty bad in the reviews but I think this is a pretty good flick and was way ahead of its time. Rip John Ritter.

This movie used to come on Starz and Encore all the time back in the day.
It's wholly original. Ritter was great. Everyone was great.
It also took me a few time to realize as a kid that Jeffrey Jones is supposed to be Satan.... That added a huge layer of darkness I wasn't expecting.

Jeffery Jones looks like how'd id picture Satan to look.

My friends and I were the only people in the theater for a showing of this. The only worse bomb I remember seeing in theaters was Mom and Dad Save the World (also from 1992).

I liked the movie also. Pretty funny.

Which also featured Jeffrey Jones.

Watched a few months back. It was better than I remember.

Holy crap I totally forgot about this movie. I am pretty sure I've seen it but I remember almost nothing about it, outside the premise. Wow. Now I need to rewatch.

Ha, I saw this in the theatre. I think it must have been one of the first things I had seen Eugene Levy in because almost every time I see him I think of him in the "Northern Overexposure" channel getting attacked by wolves in Stay Tuned

The made up shows were so funny

"Duane's Underworld" and "Driving Over Mrs. Daisy" are two more of the shows I remember

Best single joke in the movie was probably Ritter switching channels to end up on Three’s Company and then screaming before switching channels again.
