What is the motive for killing him?
Courtney because she was going to lose the gravy train. He reportedly was planning to divorce her and had written a letter saying so, as well as saying he was quitting the music business. In the MTV Unplugged performance shortly before his death, his singing of 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night?' was added to that set list after Kurt caught Courtney cheating on him.

Geffen because of the aforementioned quitting of the music business. Music producers are fricking psychos, and tragically dead musicians sell like hotcakes for a long time.

I always thought it was odd that Courtney Love had a short-lived but not insignificant movie career after this happened.

Kurt was a marginally talented, pill-popping druggie basket case. Nirvana was overrated mumble rock nonsense. It's a shame his shotgun blast tainted a generation by martyring him.

Cobain was arguably the third/fourth best front man from the mainline Seattle bands (Behind Staley and Cornell), depending on people's perspective on Vedder.

Kurt Cobain was a depressing nihilist.

Andrew Wood was also better. You can even throw Shannon Hoon in the mix from that period. Never understood the fascination with Cobain's lousy singing, simplistic guitar playing, and inane lyrics.

Il Duce from The Mentors about the time he was offered $50k to kill Kurt. Oh wait, you can't. He was mysteriously killed by a train shortly after saying that.

Listen close at 2:55

Wanna hear something really fricking eerie? If you watch that clip from the doc with earphones on, you can faintly hear women screaming HELP US!!! during the El Duce interview. Like someone is locked away in a basement or something
