As someone mentioned it is called ducking or alternatively duck duck Jeep.
You can thank a woman named Allison Parchment, a Canadian, for starting it. There was an article on one of the online car magazines about it a couple of weeks ago.

Jeeps used to be great, robust, affordable vehicles. Stellantis seems determined to run off all of its customers though. I'm still amazed that Toyota (or another) hasn't come out with a direct competitor to the Wrangler, removable top etc.

They also make little shelves that attach to your mirror for the sole purpose of having a place for people to place the ducks when they “duck you”. Apparently just placing them on the cowl wasn’t good enough, and Jeep owners never pass up an opportunity to add another aftermarket item to their Jeep.

I don’t drive one, but this is some of the dumbest shite I’ve ever heard. Jeeps began their lives as military vehicles. How on earth do you view them as being gay?
