Nextdoor blowing up about multiple instances of this at Popeyes and some others. Drive off w/o credit card (not returned) and then charges blow up. Also someone saying the front and back of their cards had been photographed before returning it.

How about no one should be using a credit card at a fricking Popeyes

Plus, and not justifying theft, but how do you forget?

Maybe if the minimum was was higher these people wouldn't have to resort to theft.

Only strippers and drug dealers carry cash.

I alway try to keep an eye on the kid when I hand them my card at a drive thru place. I remember seeing the video of a couple driving back through and confronting a girl at the window after she had taken pics of their cars with her phone (I think that’s what it was).

Credit cards are usually gonna be the safest option since they come with fraud protection. Someone makes fraudulent purchases and you’re getting that back with a new card number.

Determining factor is whether or not kitchen staff all had new jordans upon your return for your card.

In Elmwood they busted a girl at one of the drive thru joints for using her phone in video mode, set it beside the drive thru register, would pass your CC over the camera flip it over and get the back then swipe for your order. Bitch went on a shopping spree, for about 30 days until people started getting thier bills.

This is something that has taken place for quite some time.

How spaced out are you to drive off without your credit card?

Always use a credit card. Never use a debit card.

If I hit a drive through establishment nowadays I use their app and pay on that. Nothing stopping this from happening at a sit down restaurant either though.

Popeyes meal for a few people can be like $50. Place is expensive for what it is. I don’t carry that much cash.

I don't know which statement garnered more downvotes:

quote:

How about no one should be using a credit card at a fricking Popeyes

Or

quote:

Maybe if the minimum was was higher these people wouldn't have to resort to theft.

The latter was a statement that made with tongue firmly implanted in cheek.

The former was genuine.

I get it if you have a huge order, but if you are getting a meal for yourself and maybe one other person, I don't get that.
