Correction. She is the worst TV character ever.

The rest could pass as Seinfeld extras, seeing as they’re such awful people
Only funny part about the show is how ironically awful people all of the characters actually are. The 6 must have all been friends because no one else would put up with them.

You could have saved a lot of time and typed “I’m too cool to watch anything mainstream and popular”

It was never funny or interesting and I’ll never understand it’s popularity
Posted on 5/7/22 at 8:23 am to whichyalnoaboutseven
It has its moments, but I would never watch it voluntarily.

I've always felt it was funny but very overrated. IMO How I Met Your Mother does the "Group Of Friends Becoming Adults" so much better and funnier.

Not generally. There are occasionally funny bits, but I don’t find the show to be very funny.

The early seasons were awful. From about season 5 onward, the show gets a lot better/funnier.

Not in a slapstick way but it has moments
I will never not say “PIVOT! PIVOT! PIVOT!” When im helping someone move something

Nine times out of ten if a show uses a laugh track it sucks

Maybe true. But HIMYM probably doesn't exist without Friends. Friends doesn't exist without Seinfeld. There's a gazillion shows like Friends now, but at the time it was pretty unique in its writing. It was like Melrose Place and Seinfeld had a baby. I found it funny in the 90's, probably not now though. Seinfeld is still the funniest show ever IMO and will live forever.

Wait. Friends triggers people? Where is this coming from
Posted on 5/7/22 at 3:50 pm to whichyalnoaboutseven
Decent show. Fairly funny overall. Not my all time favorite show but you can see me watching it.
Chandler and Joey were really funny.
Phoebe was a moron but it made her funny.
Rachel and Monica were just there. Didn't hate them but they didn't stand out to me.
Ross was the only worthless one. He was a fricking dick bag.

It really was then. For some reason doesn’t age well.

A lot of folks, especially younger ones, are triggered by laugh tracks, in general. Friends kinda personifies all laugh track comedies for them, so it gets the bulk of the abuse
Posted on 5/7/22 at 5:18 pm to kingbob
His reasoning is that woke people are triggered by friends. Not anything about a laugh track
Posted on 5/7/22 at 5:25 pm to whichyalnoaboutseven
I have tried to watch some episodes, but I didn't find those to be funny.
Posted on 5/7/22 at 5:33 pm to whichyalnoaboutseven
I think it's actually aged relatively well. My daughter watches it and it's consistently well written. Ross is a douche, Rachel is a count, but the dialogue is actually generally pretty good. And Courtney Cox was so fine back then.

Woke people hate everything, Friends is just ubiquitous, so it’s an easy target.
