The page is messy but this story has the town of Ruston on full gossip mode:

Why did this evangelist from Ruston, Louisiana catch a TikTokers attention? Maybe it was the private jet, the luxury cars, or the exotic travel spots that Seaman and his wife normally visit. The point is TikToker Josh felt like something wasn't right so he posted a video that has gone viral. In the video TikToker Josh says he believes that Seaman is stealing money from his ministry and using it for personal gain.

In the video, Taylan claims that he has donated over $239,000 in tithing to his home church Faith Church Ruston in Ruston, Louisiana. He also claims that he paid for his brand new Mercedes G Wagon in cash

I’m not trusting (or curious about) anybody named “Seaman”.

Check out Taylen’s YouTube most his videos are about how to become a millionaire. He even has a millionaire boot camp. Definitely weird for a ministry to me

Isn't the first and won't be the last.

People who give money to these obvious con men are just plain dumb.

The term “Evangelist” has been hijacked by charlatans and haters of Christianity alike.

It’s a beautiful term with a beautiful meaning. I refuse to cede it to these evil people.

How are so many people stupid enough to just send money like this to someone? I just don’t get it.

L. Ron Hubbard was an absolute loon, but he got one thing right, if you want to get rich start a religion or a church.

Every time I see these huge, massive mega churches with filthy rich pastors all I can think of is Righteous Gemstones.

There’s nothing worse than a non denominational church. You can’t convince me those aren’t just cults masquerading under the name of Jesus

Don’t think the Bible contains a verse that one should aspire to a Mercedes AMG 63 through prayer.

Charlatan is one word to describe this “pastor.”

Why isn't this thread on PT just like every single Catholic-bashing thread on this whole message board.

Bottom Line - this Pastor believes in Bible Alone and he believes that the Bible tells him to do what he alone thinks that the Bible tells him to do. He even quotes Bible verses to support his beliefs, and he says that the Holy Spirit revealed the true meanings of these verses for him.

If this Pastor believes that the Holy Spirit and the Bible told him to do those things, he's going to Heaven. No, wait, according to the Eternal Security Protestant doctrine, this Pastor is going to Heaven regardless of how much he stole or how many times he stole it. Eternal Security means that the Pastor cannot lose his ticket to Heaven no matter how much he steals and sins.

Prosperity Theology is exactly what Jesus Christ was shooting for, I'm sure.

The prosperity bible is a con.

But, the evangelist isn't "stealing" in the criminal term of the word. People are giving him gifts, and he's spending the gifts, and everyone should know exactly what they are getting themselves into.

Now, if the money is actually being donated to the church to get a charitable deduction, and the church is giving him the cash, then he needs to be paying tax on it, and THAT might be where he gets in trouble.

But most of these evangelists do actually pay tax on what they receive. And to the extent they can title the stuff in church name to save property taxes, they do so, and it's completely legal.
