Everyone else I'm pretty much neutral on. Don't really worry about what you think but I'm not an a-hole about it till you force me to be.

I'm nice to people I meet not because I want them to like me, but because it's the morally correct thing to do.

Not really.
I’m independently wealthy and almost retired so it does not matter what anyone thinks of me.
I “care” about some people, but their thoughts belong to them as mine belong to me.

I don’t care what people think about my thoughts, philosophies, or ideologies; I do care what people think about my words and actions.
In my opinion, if you concern yourself with the former, you’re a coward. In my opinion, if you don’t concern yourself with the latter, you’re a self absorbed child.

2019-2020 I was the victim of an unbelievable smear campaign. I learned all about human malevolence, reputation destruction and flying monkeys. I am now impervious to the opinions of others.

It’s also internally inconsistent. If one really doesn’t care what others think about him, then he wouldn’t even be able to answer that question. In other words, forming and stating that one doesn’t care what others think about him requires considering others’ thoughts about him and the effect it has on him.
It’s indeed an inherent act of self-deceit to say otherwise.
