That might be the case but also consider that Illinois doesn’t charge personal property taxes on vehicles. Here in Missouri there are thousands of cars with Illinois tags from people who live in Missouri but have their car registered at a family member’s Illinois address. They avoid the annual personal property tax assessment in Missouri.
As far as a LA DMV, yeah, that can be crazy. My last experience with the LA DMV was about 22 years ago and I don’t ever want to experience that again. Here in MO, many, if not all, of the DMV offices are outsourced to private companies. My experience has been that they run way smoother than LA.

All the millions of dollars given to non Louisiana contractors who bring in their own workers is money not spent in the state of Louisiana. This state is the second leading producer of petroleum products in the continental United States of America and we are one of the poorest, explain that. Texas is number one and they are one of, if not the richest states in the USA. King Alexander is a joke and has no intention of making LSU or the state of Louisiana any better. He is a mole.
