Then let me ask you a question: How long has it been since you've sat in the student section?
It's loud as frick where I sit, and I can see all the saggy balled grandpas taking naps in all the other sections.

LSU needs to reduce the number of student tickets from 14,400 to 12,000. The minimum number of no shows for student section was 2,500 this year.

Raise the price from $12 to $20

Scan Id's when entering gate, 5pts, and scan IDs when leaving after halftime you get an additional 5pts.

So you want to scan 12000 students AFTER the game? Wow

Every year since we've played Arky on Friday LSU has given students the option to buy Arky tickets. And every year they sell what comes back to them.

It was full and looked good up there. That just tells me we need to sell those seats every game and let the students pack in like sardines! That's how we did it back from 2000-2002

try and have any of those without students

Jesus tap dancing Christ. Some of you are so fricking obtuse. Well no shite we couldn't have LSU football without the students. Most of us were students. The thing is you grow up..... eventually. Try to stay competitive in today's college football world with just the backing of the current students. Too fricking narcissistic to understand they need us.

Keep up the good fight man. Bottom line is you have around 3,000 seats going for $12 a pop when LSU could be charging face value plus TAF fees. Money will win out.

Again, the primary purpose of LSU isn't fielding a football team. It's educating STUDENTS. Football/athletics serves as a fundraiser/recruiting tool for the university. Not much point in using it as a recruiting tool if you prevent students from attending.

frick y'all. Y'all go stand in a goddamn line to scan for extra points cause I'm not doing that shite.
The only section I'd be willing to reduce is the Greek section. Those are some spoiled fricktards. But they're students so I have their back.
But if you touch my section, I'll have to come whip your arse.

Try and get students to come here when alumni like you are begging the administration to take away their tickets and constantly telling them they suck.

Without the athletic dept. giving millions back to the academic side every year LSU would have to shut down a lot of programs. Another reason you should be kissing donor's feet.

Someone has to do it, I'm not in the student section anymore but this fighting between sections in the stadium is stupid. No one is showing up and staying anymore. It's ridiculous...

Without students, the university ceases to exist.

I understand the school is building more seats in the SEZ. Why don't you buy tickets there?

Furthermore, students do pay their fair share--it's called tuition.

That Greek life section needs to go. Just put them in the general student section.

What tickets would they be taking away? Those people aren't showing up anyway??

I'd eliminate every bit of reserved student section as well as Section 233-236. Let them pack that area in for a few seasons before giving them anymore sections.

I agree. The problem is that once you take away student seating and sell those seats to the public, you can't give them back.

Yeah, taking about 2-3,000 student tickets means the entire section will shut down.
