I think it's a solid move for them. They go against us and now cam in Carolina now too so they need good corners

I like it alot. If we're gonna start running a base nickel, load the frick up on DBs.

Definitely a good pickup for them. Still a really good CB (I'd say he and Greer are about on par). He won't be much help if they don't score over 2 points, though.

To be fair, they only get embarrassed in the playoffs. To their credit, they get there every year.

One DOES have to wonder whether Smith is on the hot seat this season.

Nah. Dimitroff and Blank are as far up Smitty's arse as they are Matt Ryan's.

I hope both of them are in Atlanta for the longhaul.

Might want to sign him then.

I think that Atlanta missed their window. That is such a dramatic thing to say after they went 13-3 just a season ago, but their defense is horrendous and a non-physical 31 year old CB isn't going to change that.

I think the Saints win the NFC South easily this year. Look out for Carolina on the horizon though.

I think the Saints could win the NFC South this year but with so many unknowns (how will they do without Payton, the player suspensions, all of these accusations looming overhead), easily is an overstatement.

I agree with that.

Any team in the NFC South could take it.
Except for the Bucs, I mean.

I really believe that this team more than any other will embrace the "us against the world" mentality. I feel like I know this team (I'm sure most diehard Saints fans feel this way).

I could be 100% wrong - it will be interesting to find out. But I love our schedule - the timing of it, the easy start, etc. I think we should have fewer than 3 losses by the time the Saints and Falcons finally meet in the Superdome for the 1st time.

Would you agree that even the most diehard Falcons fan is probably feeling a little uncertain and confused about their team? These Falcons kind of remind me of the Haslett 2001-2004 Saints. Lots and lots of talent on paper but it never really meshed. With that said, ATL has made the playoffs 2 straight years and you couldn't say that about Haslett's Saints. But the Julio Jones god-awful trade reminds me of the Jonathan Sullivan trade. Both were horrendous and both really stunted the growth of the team.
