I can live with one day a week. Especially with recycling. The real issue is less service for more cost.

Who is "we" you don't want recycling. I want recycling.

Problem I have is that, if NO is anything like EBR, you have a limited number of cans you can use so half the number of pickups literally halves the amount of garbage you can legally dispose of.
If they are doing full pickups regardless of the number of cans when they show up, it is less a problem than saying “Yeah, you’re paying full price for cut rate service.”

Actually great. Lol I'm in kenner. Twice weekly with recycling and bulky waste for $15 a month.

IDK what he's talking about NOLA has recycling.

The problem they’ll encounter is that the trucks will need more runs to the dump with them effectively trying to pick up double the amount in one run. Folks will get skipped and it will snowball.

Here's another tidbit....lets say you do some landscaping and you bag up 12 bags of branches or bushes or grass or whatever.....they will only pick up 6 bags at a time. The other 6 will have to wait until the next pick up

I guess you need to drop it at an approved pickup site. Like Destroyah’s office.

Did you have flashbacks from being a prisoner when you had to pick up trash on the side of the road?

Orleans parish has been pretty solid lately with pickup. Once a week is fine, just stop charging me for twice

Once a week pickup, and I bet they dont pickuo anything that isnt inside the one can you pay for?
This is common in many DFW area cities.

In Kenner the last mayor was letting them call all bagged waste "storm debris" months after the hurricane. Like last April and May. Our pick up sucked and then every one got on Sydney Torres and it seemed to improve.

I don't get why in 1996 the ENTIRE area got cans for automated pick up (like EBR has). We STILL use automated pick up cans. Yet we haven't had automated pick up in Jefferson, orleans or the south shore since 2005.
The 96 gallon came are often too big and the hopper will reach in for trash leaving trash in the can rather than empty it.

The return on one's tax and insurance dollars in that city is comical.

they werent picking up by me, they stopped before covid. you had to take it on the 1-2 recycling dump days they have per month. and not open after 1 pm.

Why not for 3 weeks if they pick up weekly?
Because they dont come weekly even though its scheduled weekly.
this happened during twice a week too. but if they dont come saturday they would come tuesday. so less time still between pickups.
Now if they dont come saturday thats saturday to saturday to the next saturday.
i had a situation where two saturdays in a row were on holidays. So they picked up on saturday, skipped two saturdays, then came the third saturday. thats 3 weeks in between pickups.
