Exactly-
My recycling day in Monday, trash day is Thursday.
I still put my trash can out on Monday with the recycling, they throw both into the same truck.

No kids? Our can is full most pick ups. During football season I need two since I typically host the get togethers.

Houston’s is once a week and every other week for recycling . An extra can isn’t hard to get for free but they are supposed ti charge $50 for the extra can. I rarely roll the second one out, maybe once or twice a year

Fixed it for you

And we do want it because the separate can cuts the trash volume that slimy cocksucker Teedy has to pick up at once.

I have 1 large garbage can and 2 of the recycling cans...we will sometimes fill all 3 up with garbage and the trash truck will empty all 3

The Recycling truck comes on Thursdays and trash on Fridays...sometimes the recycling truck will empty the recycling cans that are full of trash....

So I basically get 3 cans emptied twice a week.

I just ordered another garbage can through 311 just for the hell of it

I have some old plastic Home Depot type cans that came with the house that I mostly use for yard clippings and shite, but will use them for overflow on the rare occasion I need that for normal trash.

They always get dumped when I ever have to put them out.

Tuscaloosa used to have twice a week pickups. Then when the 2011 tornado hit they changed it to once a week due to "all the debris". Even though the debris was picked up by a different division. The twice a week pickups were for the green trash cans. Nobody was cutting up trees or putting shingles and roofing in a green can.

It never went back to twice a week. BTW some 6 day old chicken or fish smells pretty ripe.

Oh, and by the way... frick Walt Maddox.

I currently only get trash pickup once a week. It’s really not that big of a deal.

Except that it’s Nola… so it’s not just that it’s one day a week and paying more for it, it’s that in typical Nola fashion, they can’t even manage a one day a week pickup schedule.

Are they coming Monday? Tuesday? Wednesday? No one knows so everyone just keeps their cans out on the curb.

not even close to the situation here.

Last week I went to the dump for the first time here. When you pull up they have huge dumpsters labeled with pictures showing what belongs in each and you can toss your stuff in there for free. And then you pull up to the scales and they give you a ticket to pull in the back to just unload all the other trash in your truck….. when I get to the back someone directed me to a spot and there is several bulldozers back there pushing garbage around and about 30 workers doing dances around them picking through everything and dragging it to its specific pile…. I was honestly amazed

Did you have flashbacks from being a prisoner when you had to pick up trash on the side of the road?
