Fished yesterday, put in at 6 Mile on Texas side. Launch was nearly packed. Must be spring break in Texas, never seen it this busy on a Thursday. Water temp was above 60 everywhere we went except the main lake. Caught around 20, only 4 keepers. Didn't see a lot of action from anybody else out there. Fished from 8:30-3:00. Buddy had a one eye lip bait and damn if he didn't catch a one eyed bass on it. Same eye on both gone, it was our first keeper.

We are still smashing them shallow on spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, senkos, and flipping bushes. 20-50 fish a day and a big fish of 8lbs this week with a lot of 5lbers mixed in.

Way south end white perch
Saturday weather was perfect
Water is falling and a foot lower than I really like it
Hit a couple spots I can catch them spawning and nothing
Saw a few bass spawning
Got in a cove and started throwing a roadrunner and caught a good mess of all female blacks in 8-10 ft if water

Sunday wind got real bad couldn’t hold the trolling motor where I caught them Saturday
Fished some button willows and cypress islands and about noon once that water a warmed up you could see them way back in there. Couldn’t get to them and I have trouble catching fish I can see. Can catch then real
Early or late in the afternoons when the sun isn’t up when they are shallow like that in clear water

Moved to a protected cove that had some stained water and a little grass and caught 35 really good ones on a 50 yard stretch of bank fishing 2 feet deep around the cypress and grass Mostly male whites

Did you find the female blacks more aggressive than the male whites? I know it’s common most places.

I have a decision to make. Saline should be on fire, but i would have to deal with a big tournament out of the one landing I use.

i'd say the next 3-4 weeks in TB should be on fire with this warm weather

Yeah, I really shouldn't be in a hurry. We caught them last year after greenout, and a lot of videos show full leaves.

On my wife's FB there is a 10lb or over being weighed along the lake every day it seems like.

34 white perch Saturday. Slept in because of that front and got out there about 11. Didn’t catch til 2 pm. Some shallow and some in 5 feet of water. Mix of blacks and whites. Females all still had eggs. Water has dropped a bunch My favorite Cypress knees and button willows are going to be on dry ground real soon

Saline was an absolute bust which is shocking considering my past experiences with this particular weekend. May try to make a day trip this weekend.
