I consider myself a fairly progressive guy, I disagree with a whole lot of shite that gets posted on this board. But when did we lose the ability to make reasonable assessments about what is objectively offensive or insensitive versus what is offensive to fringe group of weaklings who shouldn't be taken seriously. It's hard not to laugh at how ridiculous this article is, and it's embarrassing that it's on SI.

Where does it end?? Rename the Saints because atheist have a problem with it? Rename the Cowboys because they are pictured as the enemy of Native Americans? Rename the Patriots because they supported riots? Rename the Chiefs?
Look I completely understand renaming the "redskins" and can even understand cle moving on from "Indians", but at some point enough is enough. If a team upsets you change channel. If a movie offends you, turn it off. If people dressing a certain way makes you feel weird, turn your head.

Agreed. It's a very slippery slope. At some point we lose the ability to communicate with one another.

I did admit that the government overstepped in some things back then. It had nothing to do with "white people" trying to erase them. You had people in power who wanted land, and the natives wouldn't leave it, so they were forced. White people didn't get together and vote, as a "race" to drive them out.
And what the government, specifically the left (which you obviously are), is doing today is absolutely comparable. Forcing people to abide by unconstitutional mandates or lose their jobs and even go to jail. They can't drive us all out of this country, because there's far too many of us to do that. So they are trying to ruin our lives in every other way, instead.
