How accurate are they?

The reason I ask, I'm setting up betting odds among the family for the various breeds that may come back.

I do not need a DNA test on my Lab, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that bitch has some Chesapeake in her 'cause part of her early training gear consisted of a 2X4. Hardheaded as hell like ALL Chessies...and has the drive of ALL Chessies and the temperament of a Lab. She also has the sense of humor of a Lab and thinks farting in a duck blind is the height of hilarity and is pretty good at making scathing remarks about one's shooting ability, duck calling, choice of biscuit of a morning...she is a fricking laugh riot in a duck blind, the hard headed bitch. All in all no one I would prefer to spend a morning in a blind with, although I could do without the farting....

I thought it was interesting but not very useful information. My dog is a bit bigger than I was expecting and it's because he's only about 75% pure, so that's nice to know and be aware of. He also got a green check when it comes to health/disease potential. I suppose if he was susceptible to certain conditions it would be good to be aware of to monitor it.

It feels more for entertainment/information purposes than being super useful, but I do plan to do it for my next one too.

I thought about doing this, or maybe the thing where I pay $50 to have a dog named after me. I hear you can also have your dog entitled as a real Scottish lord's hunting dog.

I paid for a 100% chocolate lab, best dog ever. 16 years later I find out she’s 75% lab and 25% German Shepard

Can confirm that a Lab/German Shepherd mix was also the best dog I ever had.

We used this one:

LINK

And have no complaints. It was very cool. Actually finds distant relatives too like the human ones. It accurately pegged our dog's physical traits from DNA markets which was fascinating.

The "science" says this dog is 30% pit bull, 10 % Staffordshire [fancy word for pit bull], so 40% pit bull.

20% "we don't know".

Some Chow, Boxer, and Cattle dog.

This is a cross between a whippet and a mountain cur. The science is wrong.

They're full of shite. Everything comes back majority pitt bull and the personality profile is equally as worthless.

It took about 2 weeks to get the results but this is what we got back on the test on our 10 month old rescue dog. He's been a blast so thankful I have him.

Useless information/fun fact. Y
The Bunkie High School mascot in the 1920’s was the Whippet. Changed to Panther in 1950.

That is what I call an American dog.

That is the answer I give when people ask about my dog.
