Freedom of speech doesn't mean beating up and tasering people because of their heritage or religious orientation or holding institutions hostage to where they can not conduct their daily business.
But it does mean freedom of speech, which you will no longer have in the same capacity as you do now one this bill passes.

But this board loves them some republican politicians, so I'm sure they'll explain why that's ok and we should be ok giving up those freedoms and not be allowed to criticize other governments, whether you agree with the criticism or not.

Hilarious how burning, looting, and assault was “free speech” in 2020 and now trespassing, breaking and entering, assault, and property destruction is again “free speech”.

I thought you guys called breaking into buildings “attempted murder”?? What happened to that??

You idiots don’t understand the first amendment

Free speech doesn’t equal freedom from consequences. A private company like the university of Texas doesn’t have an obligation to tolerate your inflammatory rhetoric. It’s not like the Congress is legislating this stuff.

It's hilarious how behind you are in this discussion while thinking you know all about it.

He's probably referring to the rushed bill that passed that both democrats and Republicans voted for that make criticizing the Israel government illegal.

Correct.

Another one, more than happy to give away his freedom of speech to criticize other governments, just because republican politicians voted for the bill and are literally anti freedom.

Let's be specific.

Should someone be able to say out loud that they hate Jews and think it would be a good idea to rid them from this world.

Yes. The First Amendment protects that speech.

Should someone be able to protest, block access, takeover and demand things from universities, threaten Jews, assault Jews?

No. Those people should be punished harshly.

I fail to see a problem with the first amendment in all of this, but I do see the fingerprints of Marxism, especially in the organized and divisional zeal behind getting these professional protesters to act so quickly. That’s all I see, and all I have seen with these relentless divisional protests over everything under the sun over the past five or ten years or so. Just a bunch of Marxist robots given their marching orders.

Want to actually make a coherent retort instead of programmed drivel??

And bonus question… are you going to wear your hijab and pray to Allah right up until you pick up your pride flag for June?? Or are you going to take a week in between??

I wasn’t aware that breaking into buildings, attacking targeted individuals, and overtaking land was part of the first amendment. Seems like at any point in our history such aggression would be met with force.
Leftist violence is speech. Conservative speech is violence.

the pro-Palestine protests. They’re fine as long as they’re not a threat

Every long term pro-Palestine protest will eventually turn to violence.
