We've taken young kids to 30A twice and had a blast. No problems.

It’s all Santa Rosa beach. That’s the currently accepted name for the area.

From Seaside east it’s not Santa Rosa Beach as a mailing address.

I guess you could also go with SoWal but that’s at least as bad as 30A from a nickname standpoint IMO.

Yes, it is, to a certain point.

Lol.. i got no problem with kids.. Have none of my own but have nieces nephews little cousins etc that are a blast… But notice i made a distinction between beaches with kids on them and beaches (such as those along the panhandle) that are absolutely OVERRUN with them…. Ive never done an adult all inclusive or whatever but i just think there’s good happy medium to be found in re to having a million kids on a beach vs a few running around .. Chaos vs sanity .. btw some people actually prefer chaos, thank god we all like different things .

One of my kids just got back from Pensacola Beach for their high school Sr. spring break.
The police def. made it clear that these kids aren't welcome there. They were super aggressive with driving around the houses and even out on foot with flashlights ready to pounce if they suspected any underage drinking.

The kids knew it was going to be like that and I guess most still had fun.
Seems over the top. Bump up patrols along the beach and keep an eye out for underage drinking out in public. But beyond that, leave the kids be if they're at their beach house/condo and not being excessively loud or disruptive.

I live in the greater metro Atlanta area. My son is visiting Seacrest Beach this week with his high school friends. If you see him with an alcoholic beverage, please tell him that his father says he is grounded for the rest of the school year . . . and probably into summer.

It’s all interspersed on that end of 30A.

There is stuff in Alys that according to the post office is Inlet.

End of the day it’s all 32413 zip so it’s basically semantics.

They were roaming in packs of 100+ people destroying stuff in Rosemary last year.

No one wants to rent a $10-15k/ week house next to a kegger or deal with that mess when they’re out having a nice dinner.

I saw a video taken last night of cops trying to clear the area around the shops where 383 hits 30A (I think). The video was taken from a balcony and it looked like NOPD clearing Bourbon St. after Mardi Gras. Lots of people in the street, police vehicles using their speakers to tell people a curfew was in effect, etc. It was a mess.

The sheriff’s office also closed down a good section of the beach and are keeping an eye on large groups of teens on the beach.

Most 30A locals love to say they hate tourists, who they call “tourons.” There are Facebook groups that post pics and complain about bad behavior by tourons. Ironically, most of these people can only make a living because of the tourism industry and they aren’t even from 30A originally. But to your face, they’re nice.

The agreed upon ranking of tourons is Tennessee is the worst, even beating Texas.

Parents get shite hammered drunk and let the kids go wild. Been than way for the last few years. I know some property managers down there. It's gotten out of hand lately. shite is going to change.
