In a world where it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to find some wholesome joy, why take a steaming crap on this?

I got this image during the 2017 eclipse. Looking forward to camping this weekend with my wife and friends and getting more shots.

Should I stock up on milk and bread?

Where is best place to store the tiddy milk?

I guess I am too late on the milk.

Come to think of it, the bread aisle was a little tight last a my local Walmarks. But it is usual for Friday nights since I believe they get a bread delivery on Saturday morning and people clean out the aisle Friday afternoon that are heading down to the island this weekend for nice weekend of fishing or going to the Grand Isle Firemen’s Fair.

It's absolutely ridiculous. 100% overblown nonsense because the sun will be blocked by the moon for 15 minutes. It just happened last fall in the western states and there was nowhere near this amount of panic. Seven years ago as well - I was in Nebraska, right in the path of totality. People took a ten minute break, walked outside, looked up and saw it - then went back to work.

It's seriously no big deal but because it's going through the northeast they have to fricking overhype it like crazy.

It wasn’t a total eclipse last fall. And it also went through Texas.

Annular eclipse is nothing like a total eclipse. There is a picture showing the difference in this thread. I kinda doubt you actually were in the path of totality (or at least you didn’t go look) if you thought what happened last October was ANYTHING like it.

I mean I’m not really sure what you are calling overblown?

Same thing happened in 2017 as well. It’s just it wasn’t covered in the south because it didn’t affect the south.

Hell, the number of tourists Dallas is getting seems weak when you consider Wyoming got 200k tourists for it. And it wasn’t even anything near peak totality.

I saw one in the late 80s early 90s.
I was a huge nothing burger.
Had to watch it through a hole in a box because you can’t look at the sun.
For a moment it seemed like a really cloudy day……. That’s it

I know. And yet you thought what happened last year was the same thing.

You didn’t experience one of the two, even if it was because you never went outside for the Nebraska trip.

Incredible at how much I see this shared though on this board and then how many threads on the first page are just constant retreads of MSM click bait articles.
