It's not that. It's the tone in which OP is looking for praise and trying to put others down. If he'd had gone about it, like if I can do it, you can too, or share how he got motivated, then yeah. It was the tone of the OP.

Excessive running may be the worse for your body in terms of exercise

I've run
There had better be someone chasing me and trying to murder me. As a gymnast, the vault runway was about 84'. That's about as far as I am ever going to run.

quote:you got that right....I'm sporting two new ones right 2018 left 2020. Had a 7 mile a day habit 1977 to 2017, with several marathons thrown in...now I walk 4 miles daily.....these knee docs tell you "you be up and running in 6 months." They lie.
Congrats on the incoming new knees

From December of 2019 to August of 2022, I ran at least 5k every day, that was 950 consecutive days.
Sciatica decided otherwise.
Proper* stretching cured that and I’m back to 5-6 times per week with intermittent rest days.
I can eat or drink anything I want and I have more energy than the law should allow.
I think I’m going to get a rowing machine rather than running in winter rains though.
*Around 20-25 minutes of intense stretching. I do that daily whether I run or not.

Take this shite to the health and fitness board chump…oh and here’s your attention

you're lucky then!
Some people aren't built to run that much and some don't get a natural joy from running.
Unfortunately, I am one of those people. I do stairs and inclined walks/jogs to make the difference.

Sorry about your knees when you’re old. Can you at least try to lift you pussy? I bet a stiff breeze blows you over.

Pretty crazy. Congrats.

If you cant fight, you better be able to run eh

I used to run the golf course at night and an occasional 5K and 10K. At some point the warranty on hips expires, so I'm not running now. But the woman I'm dating is 25 years younger than I am. I win.

Nice if true.
Where could you have run to if you had a path wherever you needed (over oceans etc)?

This is my favorite quip from non-runners. Yeah buddy, sitting on the couch doing nothing is WAY better for your knees…….

9.2 miles a day has to be brutal on the knees and hips. Uncle was an avid runner and he had to get knees and hips replaced.
