Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn’t. The fact is, people die every day. We don’t make threads about it.

It absolutely matters. Some try to paint the narrative that anyone can die from Covid-19 when the reality is 99% of the deaths under 67 is due to underlying health issues. Obesity is an underlying health issue especially when it comes to a virus that attacks the respiratory system.

And? This can be said for any illness that causes death. Why is this one any different?

People will be adamant about the virus not being a big deal until they or one of their loved ones gets it. Sure it may not have a high mortality rate, but facts are it can kill and we should take the proper precautions. Maybe not sacrifice the economy, but people should not be blowing this off like so many are.

Shut the frick up! I'm about done with you dickweeds that still act like none of this is real and it's just the news blowing stuff out of proportion again. Get your head out of your arse.

It’s being vastly overblown. Young, doughy Millennials and senile Boomers are the only people getting worked up over this thing

He definitely wouldn’t have died if he hadn’t been born. We should definitely shut down the whole country.

That’s not uncommon. People battle it for days, often at home, then think they’ve turned a corner, but are critical within hours.

Where do we stand on flu deaths so far this year?

It’s always is serious to those it directly affects , but we don’t shut down annually from November to April

No offense, but knowing you seems to be horrific luck and statistically worse than having an underlying condition

You somehow know personally a perfectly healthy 46 year old that died from a virus with only about a 0.1% mortality rate for that age range, and now you know also personally know a perfectly healthy16 year old on a ventilator from covid, which is astronomically rare for that age range

First of all, I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely terrible and I pray for everyone involved. Secondly, ******if****** the gentleman you speak of is the same guy I’m seeing circulating Facebook, (i have family in the st amant area) he was extremely overweight which leads me to believe he had some type of underlying health issue. I am not trying to sound like a dick at all and I apologize if I come off insensitive. It doesn’t change the fact that he’s a young man with a family who died and that’s really sad

So he was probably overweight. Americans are way too used to seeing obese people that it doesnt he register.
