Hardly ever. And when we did go out, it wasn't anywhere fancy (i.e. Chi-Chis, Ryans, or a local place).

Now? Me and the fiance usually go out on the weekend or if our schedules line up we'll grab a sit-down lunch during the week. I pretty well cook during the week and on our step-kid weekends.

I would certainly hope it isn’t that low.

We cook and eat at the dinner table every weeknight for the most part. And we have no kids.

We went out about twice a week in late 80s early 90s. Both parents worked.

My family eats a meal out about once per week, but we seem to be the minority in our circle.

Most ppl I know are eating at least 1 meal out a day and family dinner out about 4 times a week. It's crazy.

Berthelot’s I think.

We would go out for dinner most Friday nights and Piccadilly after church each Sunday.

There were 3 kids in my family and we each got to pick a place for the family to eat when it was our birthday. I always picked Chinese. My brother picked Pizza Hut. About once a month we'd get McDonald's or Burger King.

Birthdays or maybe once a month. Tuesday night was "Burger night" since our local spots usually ran a deal. Every other night was home cooking or find something to eat.

That's how we roll in my house now. We don't eat out often unless we run to Lafayette for something and then we usually just grab a bite, not a sit down restaurant. 80% of the time we are cooking.

way too much. my parents both worked late and would come home exhausted and would just say "throw your shoes on we're gonna go to [local country diner]". the only times we got dinner at home was if it was like sloppy joes/hot dogs and chips or if it was the weekend.

i wish my parents cooked more :/

Rarely... when we did it was because we were in town shopping .. But if we intentionally went out to eat it was to Val's or another similar restaurant. Hell I didn't eat at a Mexican restaurant until i was in HS.

Its what people do when they have absolutely nothing else to do.

Restaurant by my adult standards?

Never

By my parents standards when I was a kid? Every 1 or 2 weeks at a McDonald’s or Wendy’s that was they considered a “restaurant”

Different financial situations and view points. To them that was a lot of money and a break from cooking

Once every couple of months and most of the time it was some local place that was incredibly average. And I say that in the next way. Or maybe TGIF or something if we were on the road. We didn’t do lots of fancy meals or anything.

I remember eating at Po Folks in Kenner a few times. We would also go to Steak and Ale for Christmas eve dinner. I thought we were rich.

About 3 times a week. We were riding high on the hog for a while growing up as my dad was in sales and business was good. When I was a HS senior in ‘08 the bottom fell out of his business and we ate a lot more hamburger helper

My dad would pick up fast food on his way home from work about once every week or two.

We would go out to eat at a fastfood or family style restaurant, usually after a Saturday of choring in the yard or the pastures, or on a Sunday after church, about once every other week.

Once a week, Italian Village after church.

Other times were pretty random although my dad loved to go get breakfast on Saturdays.

ETA. Now with kids playing sports we occasionally have to eat out but try to cook at home as much as possible during the week.

Weekends we eat out quite a bit.
